I believe I read that pictures will be posted on the new site differently. I didn't see anything explaining that.
Will photobucket still be OK? Or can we post directly form our saved pictures? So far what I see on the new site looks good. Other than the title bar which I don't care for (colors too vibrant) the colores look good and everything is easy to read. Format is kind of big - lots of scrolling.

Bonnie,
Pictures on the vBulletin site can be posted in a thread in two manners: 1. Uploading a file directly from YOUR OWN computer using the "manage attachment" link when you are creating a thread/post. This link is located in the area below where you input the main text of your post. 2. Inserting an image in a thread/post using the "insert image" icon when you create a thread/post. This option enables you to link to any image that is hosted on the internet (such as photobucket). If you use option 1, vBulletin has a built in feature that will automatically resize your image to that max. dimensions allowed. For option 2, the admins/mods will create a set of rules for posting images to adhere to a maximum set of dimensions so that the user experience for everyone remains enjoyable. Somewhere in this new forum area, there is a thread about this. I believe one of the mods created a very nice tutorial too with images showing how to upload/insert images in vBulletin. Hope this helps. |

Here's a thread with some thumbnails:
http://vbulletin.germanshepherds.com...=1#post1163494 It's nice, you don't have to resize the pics - the one I posted of Max was about 900kb, and it uploads it to about a 90kb file. Another way to ensure that no one gets a high res pic that you might post online. |
