Signature and reputation question?

I noticed that the BB Code, and HTML Code, in the signatures was not turned on. It will be eventually turned on though, correct? So the sigs will basically look the same as the do here. Also, the sig length is 250 characters, but that counts any code used to 'decorate' the signature. Will there be more characters allowed in the new site?

Is the reputation feature going to be enabled?

I would guess that that would be discussed after the conversion, now just trying to keep the status quo at this point.

What is the reputation feature? I didn't notice that.

Leslie, I copied and pasted my signature from here into the test site and it looks exactly the same as it does here. I didn't try doing it from scratch on the test site so I have no idea how it would work, but if you're concerned you can copy your current signature code to a file on your computer before the transition.

I appreciate the need to keep current but I would rate this with the bank/cable/insurance notices I get=don't understand -but will wait and see what happens.

Actually I noticed on the test site that the mods signatures all look normal but in everyone elses we can the the code.

We had a few days to play with the test site before it was released to the general membership so we've corrected errors. When my signature was initially copied over to the test site by the tech people half of it appeared exactly like it does here, the other half was all wonky like yours. I was able to fix it by copying and pasting it exactly as it shows up on my profile page here.

I wouldn't worry too much about it yet, as the test site is only temporary and changes made there now will not copy over to the permanent version once the conversion is complete anyway. If you're still having problems, we can deal with it after the conversion.

i willl fix the bb code later tonight. I disabled it so that people couldn't link images in their siggies. I accidentally disabled everything I think.
