***vBulletin Conversion Feedback Thread*** - Page 2

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the feedback so far. Things brought as of this post:

Smilies - yes, I will add more in (if not all) once the conversion is done and we have had time to settle down and making sure everyone can log into their account.

Ads - Yes you will see some more ads then you're use to. If you're offended by this, I apologize in advance. We don't do pop ups if that helps. The thing to remember is that this site is free to use for everyone and somehow, the bills have to be paid. It's a little inconvenience to continue to enjoy the site that you love for FREE.

Banner Logo/Font/Grass - I'll talk to the art team about that next week.

I like the vB software, i`ll be posting more pics of the pac, as I really did not like having to use photo bucket, now were hi-tec

I've figured out what I don't like about the font for the GermanShepherds.com. It's not necessarily the font, but the accent. I don't know why German has to be so much more prominent than Shepherds.

the grass does kind of look and remind me of that grass mat that they advertise on TV to allow your dogs to pee inside. Yuck.

I agree with Lisa that the word GERMAN is WAY too emphasized, I think it should be smaller to match the word Shepherds

I was not sure about the brown and white at first, but after a minute or so I like it. I also like that it is not all one color brown.

I like the colors on the site. Agree with everyone else about the logo - it looks kind of 'storybook' like instead of being more serious. The colors are too vibrant instead of being realistic, so that may be why.

The ads will irritate me - I know this was answered, but just being honest. I have to scroll halfway down the page just to get to the real information. Could the ads at least be held to a smaller size?

I am wondering if the ads will be in the middle of the page when the site is converted. On the ad, there is a link that says "remove advertisement", and when you click on it, it asks you to register. Welllll, I'm registered and logged in?? I think registered users aren't supposed to see the ads? We'll have to ask Yung.
