Hi everyone,
The Admins and Mods would like to provide you with advance notice of how your username will work in the vBulletin version of this site. CURRENTLY, when you create a new account on THIS version of the site, you can do it this way: Login/User Name: Yung Display Name: Shepherds ON THE vBULLETIN SITE: Your display name will be your login name. So in my example, if I originally created my account using Yung as my login name, it will show as Yung on the vBulletin site. It will no longer show as Shepherds. Please take note of this. Furthermore, if you would like us to change the name that is displayed once you log in, the only way we can do this is by changing your login/user name. You can do this by sending a PM to any of the Admins when we have converted the site over. DO NOT send the request now. Wait til the conversion takes place. Thank you kindly! Admin/Mod Team |

or will the history of this site not be there when we get there?

Btw, this can all be rectified if you request your username changed. So for example, and this is an example only, if it did revert back to Yung, all my posting history will show from the user Yung. However, once I send a PM to an admin to change my login/user name back to Shepherds, everything will revert back to Shepherds.

I have no memory of what I did when I created my account! How can I see if my login/user name is different from my display name? Yikes...will I suddenly need to remember my password too? I have had it saved forever....

As for password, yes you will need to input the password again on the first time and then save it then. If you don't remember you're password, we can reset it for you AFTER the conversion and send it to you. |

Is there an actually date set for all this? I hate surprises when they can be avoided.

No date has been set for the conversion yet. However, we have a thread discussing this that was started weeks ago in the Suggestions area. In that thread, we said that there will be advanced notice for the community once the testing is done. There will be no surprises.

I have no fears now since I happened to have saved the email with my password and user name...
