Default Destruction Prevention

How do I ensure that my 6 month old female GSD do not destroy items in the house while I am sleeping?

you get a crate or you wake up and supervise. A lot of times 6 month old puppies are still too young to be left out

OK thanks! I'll will start to crate her. Do you think putting her muzzle on at night will help?

Don't muzzle. Look on this forum for crate training tips and get your dog crate trained.

Alright. What's typically the age that GSDs are able to sleep outside of crate without getting into things?

Crate. No muzzle, not appropriate for a nosey pup left unattended.

I crate trained as soon as Rusty came home. At 6 months he had free roam of the house at night. At 4 years old I no longer crate him when we are at work or school. He's finally a big boy

Thanks you guys for all the advice and help. I will definitely work with Samantha so that she too can be as independent as Rusty.
