Default Prong,pinch, shock collars

With the proper knowledge and training, these tools are critical to have incorporated in training your dog properly. I would ask everyone to please go and sign this petition. And at least share this with others to keep it going and help oppose these changes.

Ban trainers? Who wants to ban trainers, and ban them from where?

The terms of petition are too vague to be meaningful.

Who/what organization is the petition for?

Edited to add: Oh, never mind, I see it is for the FCI - how will the FCI have the authority to ban trainers? Is there a proposal to do so on the books that we can take a look at?

This was a petition that was shared to me by some trainers that I know from various states. I have sent an email to the petitioner to get clarification on the petition.

On another forum, i read that the supposed ban was written by an unknown entity overseas, for FCI-Canada, and the FCI has no info on it, nor is it even being considered.

Canda is not an FCI member, so I'm really confused now as to how stuff like this seems to pop up.

The internet is a wonderful tool for disseminating information, but it is just as easy to inadvertently broadcast mis-information. We must all make the effort to research the validity of information we wish to share.

According to the AWDF President, the FCI is not banning any training aids. The only significant change is there will no longer be any stick hits at the FCI Championship.
