I have an idea for elios!

So. For fixing his barking and all at humans and dogs..

Instead of Elios seeing a person or dog and feeling my stress and barking, why don't I teach him to nudge my hand? So it would be replacing the bad behavior with good behavior!!

He knows touch, maybe he would learn it and eventually just do it automatically and it will help my anxiety and stress and it will also give him somthing to replace his barking!

What do you guys think??

It's always a good thought- to replace one behavior with a wanted behavior. My question is (because I'm unfamiliar with you dog) what exactly is going on? How old is your dog?

Always wanted a protective dog..

Use a clicker, he may catch on fast....but he may not think it is high enough value. Do you ever play tug with him, or does he enjoy it?
If a dog loves to tug, that is enough to redirect and let out steam on both sides of the tug.

I taught him nudge and it worked!!
I took him out on vest the other day to a busy walk with lots of people and dogs, and every time a dog passed I told him nudge (or if he was nervous) because he got really scared at one point and I just got ahold of his attention! And not one bark!
I took off his vet after his walk and took him to the vest for his shots and he barked at one creepy guy.. Not sure why. But with his vest off.
Then yesterday I took him to petco, Home Depot, and costco on vest and he did perfect.
In costco he was PERFECT. I was so proud of him.
