what Is your dogs favorite reward while training?

Ball, food, praise, a game of tug, special toy, other?
Just curious what your babies get the most excited to work for :)

Ball on rope, praise and food. I play tug with her also, but the ball is her top prize. ;)

It takes a lot to get Hondo excited. I have to throw a party and treat with chicken.

I mix up the rewards to keep the value high.
So ball on rope, two handle tug, chuckit ball, food for teaching or the target plate exercises. If I use the same thing over and over it gets boring.

After tracking the reward is a fox tail on the end of a flirtpole. So far it's holding its value!

For Jag it is "Cheese, glorious cheese"!

Praise and lots of lovies.

the highest value food reward I have found with mine is the rind of Brie cheese...I taught send outs to Kyra with it as she was not ball mad.....I would use it on articles....it was a very special reward....

If I have Brie, I always save the rind (which I will not eat anyway!) for the dogs....Csabre and Kougie will sit in front of me and droll like St Bernards if I am eating Brie...it is more enticing than steak for them!

Mine is happy with any treats, toys, or just praise. I like that I can use all or none:)

Hot dog or cheese...

I think you mentioned this before and my "non food dog" Starky loved it! I taught him to retrieve with the rind! :)
