This is my dad, Travis Foster, and his dog, Vongalanberg Kai Kkl. 1 IPO 3 AD, doing some fun little Obedience exercises outside the normal IPO routine

Wow just wow I got me a 3 month old gsd how does one go about starting to train like that what are the first steps involved? Books or anything that might help me?!?!

Ermmm I don'y know of any books that teach this sort of stuff (dad can't even read at all... no joke... he was one of those kids who never went to school and only ever wanted to work with animals and nature... proper cliche ).

If you're not already a member of a Schutzhund/IPO club then the best thing would be to start there.

The foundation of the heel work is basically hand luring with food as a puppy transitioning into ball under the arm. How he gets the legs to kick up like that I don't know.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful. He's not a very good communicator/teacher with people and on top of that he's no even aware of how he does things most of the time. I work with him every day and I still don't really understand everything he does.
