I was working over in the corner of the room with another individual who has a really cute retriever. I managed to overhear a conversation between a husband/wife/trainer/mastiff. The trainer mentioned something about clicker training...the husband had said that he had already clicker trained the dog, but was having issues introducing other commands. the husband had bought a clicker and trained the mastiff to sit everytime there is a click.
NOT KIDDING. Everytime a click went off the dog would sit. The trainer explained 'things' for them. In the meantime, the goldens owner would click and the mastiff would sit like it was nobodys business.

LOL. Sometimes people form their own mehtods. What was their recaction when the teacher pointed out the right way to clicker train.
A friend of mine thinks that the cliker is used to get the dog's attention. |
