I was on Leerburg a while back and seem to remember a Michael Ellis DVD on ecollars, but today I could not find it. The only thing I found was the on demand Remote Collar Theory.
Has anyone watched these videos? Opinions? |

I have watched all 3 videos on demand. Each one is about 90 min long. These are all lectures that he has given in one of his seminars prior to actual practical use of ecollar. I thought they were pretty decent lectures and he tends to stray occasionally into his general training theory. So the videos do not contain any demonstration on setting up for your specific dog but he does talk briefly about equipment. He does spend a good amount of time on the proper and improper use of the collar. I know this is a touchy subject for some trainers, but he emphasizes the use of the collar as a training layer rather than a tool of punishment. If you plan to use an ecollar I would recommend his videos to a new user but also work with your trainer on your specific dog.
