With other breeds I have owned, I have taught them to run next to my car down a dirt road. They stayed away from the front of the car and stopped when we stopped. I have not kept this up with my GSD because she always tries to run infront of my car. I see this "education" method can work if you give it the time. Meanwhile, Mika occassionally lunges at cars while on the walk.
