Basic Obedience $440
This the price charged for Basic Obedience by one professional. It is one on one and classes last 'as long as it takes'... and the course lasts as long as it takes. The price is for the life of the dog and unlimited phone calls and classes.
Let's hear your opinions. I will not state the name or location of the professional.

Unless what " as long as it takes" and " basic obedience" means is described in great detail in a contract, I think one of the parties involved will end up unhappy!

I would rather pay an annual fee, but I wouldn't be opposed to a lifetime fee if it was a trainer I was already well familiar with.
The place I train at offers an "advanced" course which is really more of an obedience club than a small training class. You pay an annual fee to stay enrolled in weekly classes. You can only join this after you've been through and graduated novice. |

I don't like the as long as it takes part... Skylar's basic obedience was 130, for 6 weeks. that was as long as it took for her to learn everything, her 2nd level obedience and 1st agility class was the same (130 for 6 weeks)
What if someone didn't work with their dog at home? The owner would be in a bad situation. |
