at 8 weeks old you have to keep telling him "leave it"
and move him away from the situation. he's 8 weeks old. don't expect to much. at 8 weeks old and older everything in your house is a chew toy. you have to watch him closely.

I knew this, but you know sometimes I get caught up in the moment of removing him from danger and wonder if Its me ...that I am not doing something right or more like what am I doing wrong. I thank everyone for all your input. This forum really helps me reminding me to focus on that he is just a baby...I am so use to my adult dogs that listen, sometime I just forget. I am going to petsmart to get a spray or something.

At 8 weeks, the best thing you can do it exercise the heck out of him outdoors for about an hour.
Then put the crate in the computer room with you, puppy in the crate, and enjoy your computer time with a sleeping puppy (maybe a peanut butter kong in the crate too...)
