Week 1 of training

Hello Everyone, I am new to the forum. Tons of great information here..
4 months ago we adopted "Luna". She was 5 months old at the time. She is a beatiful black/tan GSD.. She has been great with our young kids.. The only issues we have had is nibbling on hands, digging and being timid at times..

Yesterday was our first day at training. We enlisted Harvey Allen of Allen Sandstone training.. It went great! We started with getting a pinch collar and 15 foot lead.. We worked on "long leash" work and she did great! Would not leave my side..

Next, we worked on Heal.. Again, she did very well.. After a couple "pops" she is sitting on the first command and walking well.. I'd say a 7 out of 10.. I am very pleased and proud! One thing I hve noticed is when walking she keeps trying to touch me and even walk in front of me.. The trainer said this is easily corrected and to continue to work with her this week..

Anyway, just wated to post my experience.. I love my dog and am so thankful for her. I am excited to work more and more with her and train her to be an amazing dog!
