Default Very hyper

Is it normal for a 5 month old puppy to get so hyper when people come over that they sprinkle on the floor and try to jump all over the people. Also, how can this habit be stopped? Thanks

Definitely normal.

The peeing is something that you might not ever stop. Jerzey still does (she's around a year and a half) this when she sees certain people after having been away from them for a while. I generally have her greet people outside (like my parents, John, etc.) when I know that she is likely to pee. Keep the greetings low key. Have your guests walk in an ignore the puppy. Any high pitched voices or general over excitement will make it more likely that the puppy will pee. This should also help with the jumping. Have your guests ignore the puppy until s/he has calmed down a bit.

I am sure others will have advice on how to stop jumping. This is something that I haven't even mastered 100% with Jerz yet...
