I am getting our new pup in 4ish weeks so I have been searching for a puppy class for when she is old enough. I am lucky to have a lot to chose from but trying to find the right fit is a tad overwhelming. I would love to find a place that we can start with puppy class and keep going and advancing. What are some red flags to look for? Questions to ask? Information about the trainer to know that they know what they are doing?

Also anyone know any trainers/schools in Moore/Norman/South OKC area that you would recommend to a first time GSD owner who would maybe like to look into Competing in Obiendence in the future? Right now I just want to get started but I really am open to maybe going futher.

Thank You!

k9 university is good for pet people. 120ish for a 6 week class. the trainer had a demo dog which is important to me (a white gsd). i also peeked into their kennel and they had like 8 gsds in there that they were boarding to train.

the puppy class is good if you're a new first time owner. they also offer cgc courses and stuff. they use treats but also nicely offer you a prong if it seems like you cant control the dog.

Canine Sports Academy in Norman has the S.T.A.R. puppy classes, basic and graduate obedience, rally obedience, agility. Also CGC, therapy dog skills class, flyball and conformation. Its not too far from Riverwind Casino.
