I guess it was time.
 

We've been putting a gate across the bottom of the stairs to keep Kylie from going upstairs. I have tried several times to train her not to go up the stairs, but the instant I took my eyes off of her, she was up the stairs in a heartbeat.

Today I took the gate down again (last time was in January). I had to shake the scary can (Mountain Dew can with a couple of pennies in it) once when she tried to follow me up the stairs. I haven't had to shake it again, although I did pick up the can once when she started sniffing at the stairs.

We have a guinea pig upstairs so I really don't want her to go up the stairs at all. The kids also aren't good about keeping things off of the floor upstairs.

She has done great all day.
