15 week old GSD house accidents:
 

Is it normal for a 15 week old GSD to still be having accidents in the house, on occasion? (Pee, no poo) it's not too frequent but here and there. What age I are they trustworthy to roam the house free? Thanks :confused: :help:

Yes it can be normal. They're still small and still have small bladders. Free roam depends on the dog but puppies shouldnt have free roam. Thats when they get into trouble.

yes, its normal. they won't be 100% housebroken until around 6 months or so, depends on the puppy. Just watch her/ him like a hawk while inside the house, its easier to prevent mistakes by watching them, then rewarding for going to the bathroom outside, than it is to correct mistakes after they happen.

Different ages, different dogs. It sounds like your puppy is not completely housebroken yet, you still need to continue the potty training until there are no incidents in the house. Are you home when the pup pees inside, as someone else mentioned eyes on the pup all the time when the pup has free roam of your home. I would also take the pup out to potty every hour so the pup does not have a chance to go indoors. Good luck with your baby.

I'm with everyone else, can be normal. We have to keep being vigilant to continue to make it clear we LOVE when they potty outside, and when we catch them in the act of squatting (not when we find an 'accident' in the house, that's too late to train) we make it clear we don't like that.

It took Ranger 6 months. SIX MONTHS! I couldn't believe it! I have never had a dog take that long (first GSD). Apparently not unusual.

Jazz was 18 weeks old before the accidents stopped and he started asking to go out. It's normal. Some take longer than others :)
