Hi! I'm getting my German Shepard puppy here soon! He will be 6 weeks old when I get him. I am wondering what age is a good age to start training him? I haven't trained a dog in years so I'm back to square one again! I'm really excited about getting my first German Shepard!

Six weeks old is too young. Where are you getting him from? In some states it's actually illegal to sell a puppy that young. Is there any way the breeder can keep him for another two weeks?

At that age is good for "puppy" class, the kind that not training. What sux is that most puppy classes force you into a group package. So your gsd will be ready for true obedience classes while you bring it in to visit horribly trained dogs that make yours look like a champ.
