Ben just turned 5 months old on New years day. Today was his first formal training. While the trainer was training my wife & I, Ben did everything right. He was really good with alot of "new stuff" coming at him with a stranger. Our trainer has a nice warm training room, but prefers to do this outside in a natural setting...which is great, but it was less than 30 degrees. But anything for the dog is ok with us. he said we're going to be very happy with Ben for a long time. He really took to the training. And then slept for the 50 minute drive home.

Congrats!!! What a rewarding class. I'm happy to hear that are willing to drive that far for a good class, but looks like it was well worth it. I be your Ben will be the star of the class. Take some credit for raising him and creating a fun positive learning environment at home for him, one that allows him to shine and reach his potential in class.
Always great to hear about positive stories like this.

Thank you...we are lucky to have a great trainer. The first 5 or 6 will be private lessons. He assures us ben will benefit from these & learn more quickly. Then we go on to groups and good citizen, etc. He's teaching Ben to train us I think. He's been training for 40 years in the same place.
