We had another training session last night. We're working on "Leave It" and he showed us a game called "Where are you?" He said it should be used as a game at first and then after the dog picks up on it, continue to play as a game and use it for Emergency Purposes. So...I'm in one room, hubby is in another, one of us calls out Where areeeee you??? Dogs come running, we treat. We keep doing this and they run back and forth. Then we move out to the back yard with a few more distractions, then keep building on that until even with full distractions they come running to us if we yell out Where are you. (Also great exercise) He said that this is the only game that he will NEVER discontinue the use of treats.
Just curious...do any of you use this and has it worked in emergency situations?

I use something simular with Hondo. I say, "I can't see you!" and he'll come running back to where I can see him.
An example is I'm sitting out on the porch. Hondo is running around the front yard (we live in the county, front yard is about 1 acre) and he'll go behind the shop...or horse trailer..or truck. And I can no longer see him. I'll say, "I can't see you!" and he'll come running back to where 'HE' can see me. 80% he'll come up to the porch to me so he can get some lovin'.
