Last night we had the first of our 8-week in home training sessions. Callie loved Trainer Tom. She found out he had treats on his hip and she was in love. Casper on the other hand wasn't sure if he liked Tom or his treats.
After they warmed up to him a bit, we did a lot of talking and what to expect and the homework we will have...we will only get out of it what we put in to it stuff. All in all, I'm very pleased with Tom. Callie listens to him very well...and I'm learning his tone vs my tone. He had her sitting with just a motion and no command in just seconds. (Cause we all know our GSD's are the smartest dogs ever!) He also talked a lot about body language and how he would help us understand it, expecially with Casper. This is also going to be very good for Casper, he needs to not just listen to me but also DH. I'm very excited DH finally decided to let me do this and I hope we are well on our way to well-mannered happy pups when it's over.
