Thumbs up YIP, YIP, we have a class lined up! Very pleased! :)

I've moaned and groaned about training classes! example, I'm going to shoot myself here in Des Moines, IA if I can't find something (long)

But now, YAY I am stoked, we have a class. I registered tonight and it starts in one week. I ended up going with the one close to home, that is in a highly distracting environment. We will be repeating Obed I.

I was very pleased with the facility & staff at registration tonight. I hadn't been in there for quite a few years. Admittedly, I'd left there with some negative feelings years ago. Tonight, the registration staff was *superb.* I mentioned Bails had been thru Obed I, they asked questions about whether he was strong in the basics and I said he was, but he'd never been exposed to such a distracting environment, such as this facility. (Three large rings, dogs everywhere, pretty chaotic!) They did sort of "push" me towards repeating, but I didn't get any sense that it was about money -- they genuinely came across as honestly interested in his prior training. I appreciated that very much. They asked great questions and were really open to me. Well run, well organized was my impression and I left happy and wishing first class had been tonight!

I took things to heart that were said to me in my other post(s) about repeating Obedience and I do think that's the way to go for us. Our class ended mid-November, so we've been away from a "formal" training class that long. Our prior class was in one room with anywhere from 2 - 7 dogs per session. Distractions were at something of a minimum. We will get a great multitude of distractions with this new class, no doubt.

I just feel good tonight, that a good decision was made and I am super happy hyper happy that it is a done deal and only one week to wait.

I hope Bails can make me as proud with this class as the last.

Oh, and I get to use the prong if I want to. I know, I know! It's a tool and I promise, I want to work towards not using it.

Just doin a little happy dance tonight.
