Default Food Bowl Tipping

When Bear is not especially hungry a new trick is to plant one of his size 13 paws on the edge of the food bowl and tip the kibble on the floor. It tasted better off the floor?

I picked it up and out it back in the bowl twice, (different occasions) before I realized this is a variant of the baby game "Throw the toy out of the crib so Daddy picks it up for me".

I started to stand next to his bowl with my toes on it to keep it from being flipped, but that takes my time that could be used better elsewhere, and still is playing his game, cause if I slip-up over the bowl would go.

So what I have done is to call my Helper to Help me pick up the food if the bowl gets flipped. Fred the Lab X is a terrific Helper when it comes to a spilled food bowl.

"All Clean Now!" says I. It's amazing how fast you can eat your food if someone is Helping You Clean the Floor.

The incidence of this trick has gone way down, all the Fun has gone out of it.

This is Amaretto. But she tips it while she eats in her crate. She PREFERS eating without the licking confines of a stainless steel bowl. What a princess. *rolls eyes*

Thank heavens! I thought I had gotten the laziest dog ever whelped.

He lies down when he drinks, eats, and eating off the floor just means you don't have to stretch your chin over the rim of the bowl...
