Default My Cesar impression:

Kira and Coconut were in rare form tonight.

What you're about to see is REAL! This is NOT a staged scene!!

A snap of the finger, and a "shoosh" gets the job done

That doesn't work for me....I lack calm, assertive energy!!

Needless to say, our dogs hate it when we watch Cesar!

As much as I was just kidding around, what I did in that video does in fact work for me.
Those two get absolutely crazy. They both get the zoomies, and they bark and run throughout the house like two raving lunatics.

I get between them, snap my fingers, and say "enough", and they both retreat to their corners.

How can you not love them?

How many times did you have to kick the dogs? (Referring to how Cesar 'taps' dogs with his foot).

On a more serious note, that's awesome. I wish I could get Ozzy to calm down with a, "Sh!" He knows hand signals for almost all of his commands, though.

If there was anything I've picked up from watching Cesar, is how he gets the dogs in a calm, submissive state. I've been studying his approach, and so far, it has a lot to do with "claiming space".

Kira and Coco will be going nuts, having a wild time. When I have enough, I step between them, drop my hands to her eye level, say "knock it off", while backing her away from Coco. At first, she attempted to skate around me, but I would continue to block her path to Coco, and back her into her rest spot. I would NOT let her get past me. At first, it took a couple minutes, but then all of a sudden, she realized that I wasn't giving in, and she would tuck her ears back, lower her head, let out a sigh, and just plop somewhere.

I find that exercise extremely useful, when people come over, or when the kids are playing, and she starts to get too wild with them.

She's a work in progress.

I must lack charisma. I just say, "Alright guys, that's enough," in a quiet voice and they go lay down. I'll never have my own TV show.
