I am so proud of my boy, in a few weeks he will be one year old and he finally went down the basement stairs! I go down often to feed the woodstove, and my husband works down there on his hobbies, so we wanted Harley to come down and keep us company. We tried one time to force him down (me in front, hubby in the rear), we got him down, but he didn't like it, so we didn't do that again! Today both hubby and I were down there and Harley was at the top of the stairs dropping his ball down so I would throw it back up for him. Well, I put his ball at the bottom of the stairs and walked away, took him half an hour but he came down! I'm so proud of him, now if I can get him to come back up.

We knew we were going to sleep in an upstairs bedroom at my daughter's house for Thanksgiving. We started feeding Effie (16 weeks) at the top of the stairs once a day. Now she goes up and down with no problem. She doesn't seem to like it but has no trouble. She does better on carpeted steps than our wooden ones.
