Default Dog aggression problem

I've posted before with how lux has been with commands but she's been showing what I assume to be dog aggression.. In puppy class shell just snap and growl/bark/lunge at other dogs.... Shell do the same thing if were on a walk or in the car driving... She plays well though with others dogs in the complex I can't figure out how to fix it and my trainer hasn't really given me a clear cut answer how to fix the problem.. Is this a shepherd stage??

This sound exactly like what I have been going through with my pup. We have been working on focus and redirection. When in the presence of other dogs we have to turn him away from the other dog and redirect his attention to us and reward with his ball or a treat. Its been a challenge but he is slowly improving.

are they doing "free for alls" in your puppy class? I don't think that is a good idea for puppies as yours

Give her 'space' in class, she doesn't have to "like" every dog she encounters, just tolerate their presence as long as it isn't in her face..

With puppies, it's common they act inappropriately (not aggressively) around other dogs/pups cause it's so exciting and they want to play.

Have you seen this video? Right around 2:00 there's a meeting between 2 puppies with one lunging and barking and the girl holding it getting embarrassed and just dragging it away until I get her to bring it back so the pups could meet.

Have you been socializing your pup with other dogs and ALLOWING them to meet/greet so your puppy can LEARN how to properly be around other dogs?

Or have you just been dragging your crazy pup away?

Hey Maggie I have socialized here as much as I could when she was younger I brought her to a local place in Jackson called thedogwash.com and the trainers there worked on her socialization with other dogs also... The worst thing happened at class last night... It's the 8th week and graduation is next week so we practiced our sit 5 min stays our down 5 min stays heeling recalls and other commands... Lux jus t snapped multiple times she would be in a sit stay then all of a sudden snap out and lunge at other dogs.... The trainer suggest I move to the end to give lux space I did then in the heeling exercise she snapped multiple times again.... At the end of class the trainer came up to me in tears saying how great lux is and that she obviously has anxiety issues and maybe I should look into Prozac for her... She said ppl in the class were afraid of lux and I know she would never hurt another dog but my trainer said lux is by far most trained in class but has anxiety issues... She gave me some tips of bringing her places which I already have been doing.... It was so frustrating and sad for me to know how other ppl felt ab lux she's a great dog is she trying to protect me?? I will try and have someone film me so I can post a video I'm really torn up about this I don't want lux to be stressed thanks for listening and helping everyone
