Default Treats out of the fridge/cupboard

I know I have seen people mention hot dogs as treats, what are other things that are "human food" (or a raw diet that is popular here, I suppose) that you use as treats? I have been using hot dogs & Cheerios so far. Cheerios came about when we were at my parents and the only dog treats they have is the cheap ones that Knuckles gets runny stools from so I grabbed some Cheerios out of my dad's cereal bowl. (my parents don't have dogs but they keep treats there for my dogs)

Next time I buy London Broil, BYGO I am going to put in crock pot long enough to brek down. It can turn into nice easy to pull apart lean dog treats.

I know someone who uses sweet potato. Her dog is allergic to any corn/wheat/grain products. She uses them in "chip" slices for a snack treat or small bite-size cubes for training

I *try* to keep it healthy so usually once a week I will boil a bunch of chicken (I cook what I am using for training treats for my sake) and then cut it into tiny pieces. If I see something at the grocery store like beef heart I might get that too and slice it up into little pieces.

I will also use small pieces of fruit (Dax loves apples and bananas) in the kong with plain, unsweetened, fat free yogurt or with a little no-sugar added peanut butter. I have also used cherrios to work on eye contact because they are really the only thing I can spit out of my mouth very well.

I use a lot of treats, so I try to stick with chicken or other low fat/low sugar treats. My favorite store bought treats are Zukes (salmon flavor seem to work best since they are stinkiest), BilJac small dog treats (i like treats to be tiny or I break them up), or the soft Bitty Buddy treats.

I also give Dax a raw egg every day which he loves. If I am scrambling eggs for myself I will make some plain scrambled egg for him. For a special treat I like raw knuckle bones or turkey necks. TO make the turkey neck last extra long I will cut it into 3 pieces and then stick a piece through a kong and freeze that solid. The grocery store people probably think I'm doing some weird rituals since the only meat I ever buy is beef heart, turkey necks, knuckle bones, etc.

All my dogs go nuts for raw chicken feet. It's disgusting to feed, but you get used to it.
