Default Rain and more rain?

So, we have had two days straight of rain. This is the first time that Sasha has ever lived through constant rain. Yes, the drought has been that bad!! Sasha is 5 months old. So yesterday we managed to play Frisbee and walk in between the showers. Today was different. It has rained non stop all day. So, we played in the rain. Apparently, Sasha could care less about the rain. Tonight she was getting really bad around the house. I knew it was because she hasn't had enough physical exercise and so I tried "hide and seek", trick and treat ball, and a little tug. NOPE!! She wasn't happy. I tried practicing our OB stuff. NOPE!!

So, I went out in the pouring rain and threw the Frisbee for her for about 40 minutes. That made her happy.

My question is this...REALLY? Do I have to be out in this rain??? OMG!! I guess I need to invest in a rain coat? She missed her walk today. Should I have just put on a rain coat and walked her? She seems to love the rain. I really don't mind the rain but I expected her to act differently. I guess I need to rethink Sasha.

What's funny is that I don't mind. It just surprised me. Gosh, I love her.

Hehe, that's funny. We've had a loooong dry spell and when it has rained, it's been in the overnight, thankfully. I have had this pup for all this time and don't really know WHAT he'll think of being out in the rain! Well, we've had some "spitty" rainy days, but I don't count that. No downpours at all during potty breaks, exercise, etc. What kind of luck is that?? I'm part Irish, but NOT known for good luck!

My oldest dog doesn't care about rain. My middle dog, OH NO, we won't get our precious paws in that vile liquid.

They're forecasting some on and off rain this week, so we'll see, I guess. I have a sneaking feeling Bailey won't mind it one bit. I sorta see him as one of those who will completely enjoy playing in (gasp!) mud. Ugh.

Are you in Texas? We have had a bad drought this year... It's been raining on and off for two days. My family and dogs don't know what to do....

It's been raining here in Oklahoma City for two days too.

My girls are definitely getting tired of it. Carly keeps sticking her head out the dog door, then walks over, plops down on the rug, and gives a great big sigh. I'm sick of it too. My backyard is flooded and the mud is everywhere. Ugh.

Diane,

I'm in Norman. We need the rain in Oklahoma but OMG, my puppy has never known this!! The thing is she likes it. I guess I'll invest in some rain gear and get ready to plow through the rain with Sasha. I am thinking she might be a good SAR dog. That would mean that I need to be as good as she as. Sheesh. Time to get used to the elements again. I just hope she has a nose on her.

Talk about rain, that's about all it's done here in the Mid-Atlantic area since a little before Irene came to town.

Deezul doesn't mind the rain at all, even a downpour. He loves playing in the kiddie pool we got him too.

Goretex is amazing. Expensive though

I've kept every set I've received from the military. It's like clothing made of gold.
