Puppy is currently 12 weeks old, and I am still having issues with the crate.
Once the crate is closed he will bark non-stop for 10-20 minutes. After this period all is fine until he is let back out. I am moving into an apartment complex tomorrow and really need to figure out how to stop this. I already feed him in the kennel with the door open. I randomly put him in at different times to avoid him thinking I am leaving or that he will be in for a long duration. Past 2 weeks I will put him in the kennel and sit right infront and reward him for being quiet. Unfortunately none of this appears to have helped the situation. Thank you in advance |

Have you given it treats and also fed it in the crate? You need to associate the crate as it's den and safe area.
I used to feed it meals in the crate, give it treats in the crate, etc. Mine will go into the crate on her own when she gets tired... |
