Default For Sale: Chicken Soup Dog Food

I think I've discovered why Chance has always been itchy and why it's starting to get worse, I think he's allergic to chicken. It's the only thing that I could come up with. When he was on Purina Dog Chow (Back when he had Parvo and it was the only thing we could get him to eat) he didn't itch, it also didn't have chicken. When I started searching for the "perfect" food I went through some high quality ones and nothing clicked. Beef I discovered gave him bad gas so I went with chicken based foods. Apparently that seems to be the only thing all the kibbles (5ish) which made him itch/have bad skin/have bad dandruff/ect had in common. The only food that didn't make him itch was the Purina and thats the only one (besides the Solid Gold which gave him gas and as I fed certain beef treats, I realized that too gave him gas) that didn't have chicken in it.

So I've got this huge bag of Chicken Soup that I need to get rid of. It's only had maybe 6 cups taken out of it. I paid $35 for it but I'm asking $30 to help pay for a new bag of food/since I've taken out a few cups. (I'm 16 and my mom doesn't help me pay for food (He's my dog so it's understandable) so I need to get something back from it.) I can either bag it for you in a trash bag or for $50 you can have the food and the large bin that I keep it in. (Which can hold around 50-55lb of kibble)

I'm in the Gwinnett County area in Georgia. (An hour from SC and about 45min from ATL) Message me if you're interested and we can meet up or you can come get the food. I'm hoping to have it gone by Sunday. I can meet you/you can pick it up any time/day until then. Otherwise you can pick it up any day but I can only meet you after 4pm on Mon and Wed because my moms got school. (I'm homeschooled)

*is now on a hunt for a new food* Gotta pick something up tomorrow so he's got something to eat.

Hi,

you know I was able to return the open bag of kibble to Petsmart and they gave me money back. That was great. Maybe you can try the same.

It's from a local general store and I bought the bag around 3 weeks ago (But just now opened it) so I'm not able to return it. Plus the bag was ripped too badly to even hold food. =/

Why not donate it to the local rescue or shelter? It seems a lot of work to sell it when you could just donate it where it would be needed.

I tried to donate food to the local shelter when we went through all the food trials with Gracie and they wouldn't accept open bags. It was a real bummer.

That is definitely a real bummer that the shelters wouldn't except it nor would the store let you return/exchange it. I hope you are able to get it off your hands and like Camerafodder said ... be careful and don't go by yourself!!!

Nvm. Mom gave my food away for free. I told her just to ask what brand the person fed their dogs and she was like "yeah well ___ has some food you can have". -.-; *sighs* She better help me pay for the food. I've been feeding him canned food because she wont even take me to the store. (Little less than 7 months left of having this stupid permit which I had to BEG her to take me to get and got it VERY late. I'll be over 17 before I get my license which is pretty pathedic.) Her dogs are going to need kibble soon too which of course I'll have to pay for just like I've been doing for the last year. I'm just so frustrated. I'm sick, I'm tired and I'm rather annoyed with her. I need to let her start paying for it again (Her dogs food that is) and let her put them back on crap food and let her be annoyed by Zoeys hot spots again and let her have to deal with them when they become open wounds yet again because she doesn't understand why I spend the money I do on the dogs. She admits shes seen a huge improvement but still doesn't understand that it's all in the food. >.> I try to explain to her about by-products, animal digest, bad preservitives, animal fats which go rancid in the process (And yes I know Chicken Soup has animal fat in it but I've been on a bit of a limit lately) and all these disgusting things in pet foods and she's like "well Granny never fed Susie anything but Kibbles and Bits and she lived to be 15 or 16". Doesn't mean it's great food and will make all dogs live that long. o_o Not to mention that dog had a TON of health problems.

Not like we don't have the money for quality food. *eyes brand new Mustang convertable outside* She just refuses to pay for it.

My rant/vent for the night. :] Off to bed for me.

4 dogs, 1 cat, 1 turtle, 2 Geckos, 1 rat, 1 Macaw, and a huge aquarium full of fish. My guess is the feed for that many animals probably cost as much as the Mustang payment. But I understand, I remember when I used to know everything and my parents were morons too.
