Sadly, I lost my sweet Mia in March, and now I need to sell her Doggon' Wheels cart/wheelchair. It has the large all-terrain wheels, and is in very good shape. The sling that holds her back end up in the cart, and doubles as a "handle" for lifting and helping the dog around is the only part with any real wear, but it still works perfectly well. Mia was roughly 60 lbs, but the cart will fit a dog significantly larger, or one just a bit smaller. I tried Owen, my 45 lbs hound mix (border collie size) in it, and it worked fine for him (but he can walk). My 35 lb American Eskimo mix didn't fit it well at all though (he's short-coupled, and the opposite shape of a GSD). Please email me off-sight for measurements, etc. MiaDogMom at aol.com |

There is someone on the other board looking for a set of wheels, I'll alert them to this.
I am so very very sorry for your loss

Thank you... on both counts. Losing her is still very hard to talk about. She was like a sister.
Here are some photos of the cart (with Mia in it) http://img.photobucket.com/albums...MiasWheelchair32.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/album...MiasWheelchair24.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums...MiasWheelchair10.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums...20101010_0661.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums...20101010_0668.jpg Last edited by Mia's Mom; 05-24-2011 at 07:39 PM. I'm so sorry that you lost your sweet girl, Mia. It looks like you took very good care of her and that she had a very happy life with you. Run free, Mia.

Thank you, everyone. She was very happy in her cart. It was the best thing I could have done for her DM. Some of her symptoms improved significantly from the exercise she got in it, and it made her so happy. The first time I put her in it I had to hold her back while I buckled her in, and from then on, she ran like a champ in it. I like the one photo that shows how fast she was moving. She'd plow right over the other dogs, rocks, brush, or anything that was in her way. It was as though she'd been born in it. Yeah, mostly she was a pretty happy dog, and mostly she had a good life. Life just isn't the same without her.
