Gunner seems to be good at tracking. When on walks, he has his head down sniffing for anything and everything he can get a smell of, so that got me thinking if tracking would be good for him.
Along time ago we had a lab (family dog) that we would have a dumbie, spread duck scent on it, and drag it through the yard then hid it. We would take the lab out and she would find it (the only way to tire her as throwing the ball down the steps only seemed to get her in shape lol). Now I am pretty clueless when it comes to this, so please excuse this post if someone already had posted something like this (please direct me to that thread) - but does anyone have tips on how to start, or a video, or a book? Or would doing what we did for my lab would work? Right now, I am not looking to do any competitions with Gunner, just something fun for him and to put good use for his big nose. thanks guys!
