Hi all,
So I've been getting pretty heavily into SchH in the past few years and love it. I spent a lot of time working with helpers and excellent trainers (IMO) and have learned a ton about drives, rewards, timing, proper corrections, and training techniques. I realized that where my knowledge is lacking the most though, is tracking. I obviously don't know as much about OB and protection phase theories as someone who has been involved for years but relatively I really know the least about tracking theory. I would love some recommendations... any good books on the topic? Any good videos you can recommend (I have bowwowflix subscription so I can get many things)? Any websites or specific trainers I should seek out? I basically want to learn a lot of the theory behind nose-work, more specifically for FST (i.e. schutzhund style tracking) but would also appreciate a good resource about tracking in general. Thanks! |

I just started reading "tracking Dog - Theory and Method" it's fairly dry reading but very informative and great step by step instructions. Tracking Dog 1997: Theory and Method : Paperback : Glen R. Johnson : 9780914124047
