Default Anyone read/use the book Tracking Dog theory and Methods by Glen R Johnston?

I have a question about the "non-retriever dog" food drop table at the end of the book. I basically don't understand this table, it goes from Day 1 to Day 14 and has Nos 1-9 across columns. I'm not sure how to apply this to the first few weeks of tracking (6 days 3 tracks per day) schedule.

I started with 3 tracks 5,10,20 yrds into the wind, straight line. On the short track I dropped food about every 1.5 yrds and on the long track about every 3 yrds.

The book calls for 3 iterations of this set.

Maggie did real well on the first set, well on the second set but wavered off track and seemed a little disinterested (but came back into it) on the 20yrd line of the second set.
I finished on the second set rather than going for a third as the book suggested.

I've reduced her food intake to half (since yesterday) so it may take a day or two for the food drive to kick in.
