Default Tracking food...

Does anyone have any good methods of cutting up tracking food? I use a knife to cut up the rollover and it takes me 15-25 minutes. My dog is very picky with hot dogs getting dirty so we don't use hot dogs anymore. When we did do the hot dogs we bought like an egg or onion cutter and it worked out ok. Any new ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I use the natural balance log rolls and cut them with a knife, place in the freezer. I also mix in mozzerella string cheese. I don't know of an easier way...tonight I went to training and forgot my treat/tracking food so had to cut it up right before I left. Of course it wasn't frozen and I was a bit late(so was everyone else). I've tried hot dogs, too and the ants would be all over them, Karlo passed on them. Frozen or not.
Part of the fun of tracking is cutting up the treats, not! You mention an egg cutter, what about hard boiled egg? Smelly for sure! A pup may keep the nose in the track with that.
Look forward to other posts on this with suggestions

Thank you. I use the Natural Balance roll to. I have training tomorrow morning so it took me a while to cut up the food tonight. I am not sure if eggs would give them stomach aches or not. My dog would go crazy for the cheese! haha.

Have you tried a hot dog slicer? Toddler Bites Hot Dog Slicer - One Step Ahead Baby

If you cut a NB roll in half longways it works pretty good

I'm lazy and use kibble, captain crunch, or goldfish crackers.

When I cut up my NB roll, I use a really sharp knife and I'll make several slices, lay them on top of each other and cut them up at the same time. It probably only takes me about 20 minutes to cut up enough for all 5 dogs to track...

If I'm really feeling lazy, I'll just cut the slices and tear it up as I go down the track.

My dogs love peanut butter captian crunch(my african grey does too, so they all get a treat. One day I decided to use it for obedience training with Onyx. She had the nastiest poo's after that...I learned my lesson, a small handful is fine, but a baggie full~not

I cut it roll in slices, then stack the slices on top of each other, and cut them first one way, the perpendicular to the first slices....we also keep it in the fridge to make it easier to cut.

However, after years of tracking a dog that was a difficult tracking dog, the smell of the rollover alone gives me a headache. lol
