Default We're going tracking in the SNOW

I woke up this morning to find it SNOWING. In North Texas. Where it was 80 degrees two weeks ago. It could easily, and probably will be, 5+ years before it SNOWS here again. It's guaranteed to ice and look like snow just about every year. But actual SNOW? It will be a while. Bosses orders to stay home today because I've been sick and she thinks I came back too soon. I was going to ignore bosses orders but, um, hello it's SNOWING. In North Texas. Where it was 80 degrees two weeks ago. So we will go tracking and then I'll stay home, periodically playing ball in the backyard in the SNOW. This could very well be the only time Flash ever sees SNOW, let alone gets to track in it. Pictures to come. But you can't laugh at our pathetic SNOW. SNOW is SNOW to me and Flash was pretty confused when I let him out this morning. I'm sure you're laughing at what a big deal I'm making out of this but hello it's SNOW in North Texas where it was 80 degrees two weeks ago.

I had to laugh so I apologize. I know exactly how you feel because we rarely get snow here either. Last year we got a couple of feet and that is so rare! This year I am hoping it does snow because I didn't have my two last year and want to see them play in it. They are saying it is possible if we get any precip as it is 27 here this morn.

I'm at the same place you are. All the dogs were pretty confused too. At least now Ike has seen snow. Cross that off his socialization list LOL.

Have FUN! It snowed here yesterday but today it's supposed to be in the 50s.

I lived in Buffalo for years and got both my cats there. I think they get a little nostalgic when they see snow ... it reminds them of days when they didn't have to share the house with dogs ...

He did AWESOME! Having never tracked in snow I did not know what to expect so I kept it very easy.

Actually, the moisture in the snow increases the scent. Its a dream come true to go to a tracking event in the rain or drizzle!

Looks like your dog is RIGHT ON! WTG!

What is fun about snow tracking is that you can see the dog on every foot print, I find it so impressive and love to watch it.
