Being somewhat mystical I might attribute this to unseen forces not yet understood, but perhaps he found him by scent?

If nosework did it.....amazing!

There are always stories about dogs traveling long distances to find their families. I vaguely remember one dog who traveled several states to find it's family who moved and couldn't find the dog. (Yeah, that's what they said. They packed up to go and the dog was nowhere to be found.)

Anyway, I'm a strong believer that dogs have telepathy. And if you have a strong bond with your dog, the stronger the connection. That's the premise behind animal communication, but it's called "intuition."

If you read some stories on this forum, who see that dogs have even entered our dreams to save us.

And I've sent a mental message to my dogs and have had them respond. I just need to remember to do this before my obedience trial tomorrow.

Carole,
I just looked at your site. What beautiful dogs. Each so unique. You, like many on this site have a gift for bringing them to their unique potential. I am learning so much from all of you.

I think Nubs is an awesome dog, and his story is amazing. I can't believe all he has been thru and still trusted. Having his ears cut off, and then stabbed, there is a children's book about him, too:

...and Onyx gets upset if her dinner isn't on time.

Good luck at your trial, Carole!

What a wonderful story. I don't know how he found him. Could he possibley follow the scent of the Humvee?

Maybe scent, maybe a yet undiscovered connection. I think Rupert Sheldrake wrote a book looking at such connections some years ago.
