I would love to try tracking, I am having a hard time finding a trainer in my area and I was told to get a good vidoe to try it by myself.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a good beginner video? Tracking is going to be fun for me and Doze, something to do since his nose NEVER leaves the ground. We are not planning on competing. I have been letting him sniff my hat, hiding it in tall grass and telling him to find it lately. He finds it everytime and I would like to know the proper way to start training. The only problem is that when he finds the hat he picks it up, looks at me and throws it back down and walks away. I want to teach him to speak or sit. I am not sure what I need to teach him to do so I was hoping someone knew of a good video. Thanks so much!

I have a lot of tracking videos uploaded to You Tube - my dogs training. Lots of different ages, different dogs and different stages of development. I do this to record progress, problems, etc. These are training videos, so you see good and bad, as well as how WE deal with the good and bad. I also have a lot of tracking photos on my Vesta website - different covers, challenges, etc. We didn't have digital video capabilities until this summer, so the photos tell a story too, but from the "pre video" days.
As far as tracking videos you can buy, not sure of any, sorry!
