Rosie and I just returned from Massachusetts (10-hour trip one way). We had a great visit with her "first family" (her breeder) and we took part in the Pioneer Kennel Club's tracking test on Sunday.
Six dogs were entered (2 Labs, 1 Dalmatian, 1 English Cocker Spaniel, 1 Mini Long Haired Dachshund and 1 White Shepherd). The weather was perfect (cool and damp but not raining) and the field conditions were very nice (fields had been cut maybe 3 to 5 weeks before the test) and the scenery was beautiful (just a nice bonus). All six dogs passed, which is a rare thing! The pass rate for TD is usually a little over 50% but this test was exceptional! Great conditions, a well-run test, and all dogs & handlers came prepared. It was a beautiful thing... Heather & Braehead's Briar Rose v Eis Haus, CKC UTD, AKC TD |
