Oh, oh its getting close!! This weekend even. The weather forecast looks wonderful. We are going to have a swimming party after the tracking and dogs get to play in the pool before it closes for the winter. My girl will love that.
I did a little track today just to keep my confidence going. The cross country team had run all over the field and while my track was aging the park folks started running a bobcat over it doing some maintenance. It went well anyway... I am hopeful, but ya never know about this tracking thing. Keep fingers crossed for old woman and old dog!

OH GOOD LUCK!!!
I would be nervous too.. I am sure everything will go great, like the others have said, "trust your dog and your training". You have done this over and over again, this track is not unlike the others to your dog (keep saying this to yourself) so just go out there, have fun and whatever happens, will happen. Please keep us updated!!!

Samba checked really thoroughly on the first corner. She doesn't like to be wrong, so she often rechecks the first loss of track. Once she gets one corner she seems to have confidence about the others.
We got onto the second leg and got the next three corners without much ado! Then the long last leg and down on the glove!! We drew the first track. I wanted to do well so the others would have a good feeling about going next. Weather was cool and overcast, fields were moist and relatively short lush grass. No wind. Wonderful conditions. Three TDs earned out of 5 and one TDX earned out of 3 entrants. This was my first time at an AKC tracking event and we had fun. Now, U-CDX Carmspack Samba CD RA TD!!! Whew!
