Somebody from the behavior forums suggested I ask you guys about a behavior I noticed in my 4 month old puppy over the weekend.
Here is the link to the entire thread: http://www.germanshepherds.com/forum/ubb...&gonew=1#UNREAD Long story short I was walking my dog in my in laws field behind their house in about knee deep grass when she stopped in her tracks, snorted, barked, stomped her feet then drug her feet across the ground. She drug them across the ground like a dog does right after they poo but she did them with both the front and back feet. I figure she may have smelled a snake as rattle snakes and copperheads are common where I live. You guys/gals know what the stomp and feet slide is about? |

I too, would suspect a snake. And since my mantra is 'trust your dog' I would take careful note of that area and avoid it in future. I know other people who would immediately go on a snake hunt. You get to choose how you regard it, and react accordingly. khawk
