I just saw a show on AP last night that had two Bllodhounds that tracked missing pets. The Bloodhound can follow a track that is 300 HOURS old!!
While GSDs are no Bloodhounds they still have the potential to be very good trackers.

Hi Dave,
Yes they can and actually I was considering doing this this with my GSD orginally. For a combination of reasons this turned out not to be the bast match of a job for him personally but it most certainly can be done. The age of the track really depends on so many factors, ground conditions, humidity, wind, dogs ability and training and so much more..
