Other animals in the Café

Something tells me this has been asked before, but at least I didn't find it.

There are a couple of horse topics, and sometimes there are threads about cats, ferrets, even snakes on the forum. Sometimes they are posted in the chat room, sometimes in the General Information section, sometimes they have something to do with the relationship between them and the GSDs, sometimes no.

If you ask me, those post have more to do with GSDs than political threads and its sad they get lost in the swell, because I enjoy those threads, but avoid visiting the Chat room as much as possible.

Could we have a section dedicated to other pets and animals in the Café?

Love that idea! I'd love to read and help out people with other pet issues, stories, pics, etc!

Hey, What a great idea.
I also tried to avoid the chat room because of all of the political stuff.
Or maybe we could have a special room for the politics so that the chat room could be more user friendly to the rest of us.

I believe this has been brought up before for the list and hasn't been adopted.

Reason being this really is a board that's supposed to be focused on dogs in general with GSD's in specific. There are other boards on the web that are focused on other pets.

Once again I have to agree. Seems too many people are getting out of sorts lately and waaaay off topic.
At least animals in general discussed amongst members that know each other and already have things in common (GSD's) would be better suited to the board then "would 'Joe Bloe' be better suited to run such and such then 'What's his name'."
I was always taught that you should never discuss religion, sex or politics in open company. Ya, real old school, I know.

Just my humble opinion.

If there are more good posts in chat then the others will get pushed down the list. You take all the good things out of chat then all that is left is the bad.

Hopefully the political threads will slow down considerably. The only way for the other threads to survive is for people to contribute to them. The "other pets" generally do belong in chat. The chat room is returning to it's roots. The elections are over and even I have started venturing back in and I survived.
