Default Separate "chat room" for political threads?

Would this be possible, at least until the elections are over? *L*

The regular chat room becomes clogged with threads on politics - usually people pushing their own agendas and making snide remarks about the candidates they don't like. It would be nice to have those types of threads separated so that those who want to have "normal" chatting can do so without having to scroll through myriad political threads.

I know, I know - we can just ignore those threads and I typically do, but when there's many political threads, the nicer topics kind of get lost at times.

Pretty please? *L*

Heaven forbid! Someone would pull out the old picture of me when I was all of three years old or so - butt-naked with a black cat draped strategically over me - and would insinuate that I was a devil-worshipping nudist.

Just would like to see a little breathing room in the chat area for "normal" threads.

I was thinking along the same lines. But I had a few more idea's that I haven't run by the other Admins so I don't want to share the rest of them just yet.

I would like to see something like this happen too, at least until elections are over.

Why don't we just ask people to flag their threads if they are going to be political? Easier to ignor.

Frankly, I usually go in "last 24 hours" so segregation doesn't happen there.

I think a Devil worshipping nudist would round out the McCain Cabinet nicely, just think of that big White House lawn and the Washington Mall to train and play with your puppers
