Is it acceptable to do this instead of resizing any pic I want to post? I'm sorta testing that here... no idea if it will work or if it is actually presenting a resized pic to the forum users.

It would appear to be presenting a thumbnail only unless you click it to go to the actual pic... this seems like a good solution to the pic limitation thing yes?

It shows the thumbnail, and when I clicked on it, the full size opened in a new window from photobucket. It was almost instant - as in, I didn't have to wait for the pic to show.
Yes I agree, if you want to post the thumbnail, that is fine.

Great idea! That's one reason I switched to Flickr because it allows you to choose the size of the picture you want to post without actually having to resize the picture.
Gorgeous dog too!

The picture I'm seeing when I click the thumbnail appears to be within the size range allowed per the rules. Is it supposed to be bigger than that?
One change that Photobucket is considering adding is the ability to link out pictures at a predetermined size, regardless of what size it was uploaded to Photobucket at, but I don't know how long it will be before that option is available. That would also solve the resizing problem - you could upload to PB at whatever hi-res size your pictures come off your camera, but link them out at 800 x 600. |

There are a bunch of crappy "features" in the new Photobucket that pretty much everyone hates, lol! In the face of huge public outcry there will be some changes coming over the next few weeks or months that they're still working on.

I hope so. I told them in no uncertain terms exactly what I thought of some of their 'improvements'. Yeah, right.
