How about a members map so we can see who is around us locally?
I don't know the logistics behind creating it or if it is feasible but we have one on another dog forum I am on. That's my two cents... <3 you all! |

Members Map for GSD lovers!!!
Alright, I'm just taking a shot at this...
I created an account and a map for this forum. I will just give everyone the username and password so you can all log in and add your address/area. Steps: Log in. Type your address into the search bar at the top of the screen. Click "Search". Your address will pop up on the map. Click "Save Map Point". A box will show up: For "Point Name" I suggest putting your forum username (or real name) - your dog(s) name. For example, mine is labeled "Laney - Rivers". Don't worry about "zoom level" or "map type". If you are uncomfortable with your exact address showing up, you can delete it in the "Description" box. Whatever you type in there is what it will show up as (maybe just delete the address but leave the city and state...?). You can add an image if you want  (it is picky about picture type/size).And for "Icon", I was using "house2". Then hit save. There is a zoom option on the side of the map. It will be easy to look for other GSD lovers in your area and maybe make some new friends This site is pretty easy to use. Also, I have tested it; you do not have to re-post the map after you add your address. It will automatically update the link that I am posting now every time someone edits it. (But if you are curious there is a "Share this map" button at the top with brings up a link you can copy). **If there is somewhere better on the site I should be posting this, or a better way to do this please let me know!
