Regional Threads
Would it be possible to have regional threads ( Northeast, South, Midwest, etc.) for people in the same area to get together to talk about events, breeders, or clubs that would be close?
That way people could get in touch with each other much faster. |

Sounds interesting and I can see where you are coming from but what really would help is that members post their location.

This is a great idea. Other boards I've used even have state forums, it really helps to connect with people close by. As far as posting locations, with all the threads and topics the chances that I run into many people from my area is still slim.

This has been discussed before but I believe wasn't implimented due to the vast amount of space that would take up on a forum that already has so many different topics/subjects. With members from all over the WORLD.
What seems to work best is put your GENERAL location in your User CP so it shows up with every post so you start recognizing member near you. Then if you have a specific thing to post that location matters... put it in the SUBJECT line for those of us who only check the 'Todays Active Topics'. Then bump it up occasionally so it stays on top for everyone to see if it's time sensative (like 'We are meeting at Pinetop Park, Alabama at 1000 on Saturday if you want to come' )
