You can't delete it. You just stop coming.

That is something I really don't like. If you sign for something up you should be able to delete it as well. If a member wants out, let him out and delete his account, but keeping his information, including e-mail adresse is just not right. Keep the posts, but let the member delete his account.

It's ridiculous that you can't delete your account?

All you have to do is remove your avatar picture, remove your signature, remove any information from your profile, and disable any email notifications from the board - I think you can disable PMs too, but I'm not sure.

Then just stop showing up. *poof* gone.

Yes, I agree. There should be a deactivate method.

But you can't remove your email from the forum and once you want to leave you should be able to do so. It should be your decision whether or not the forum is allowed to keep your personal information.

It's a public forum. PUBLIC.

One of the reasons that if you think you may not want to say something, don't. Cause once it's out there you don't know who's seen it and could have copy/pasted it into their evil database ....

If you want to leave. Just do as suggested. Go in and remove all the stuff you can from the User CP, leave and never come back. That way you won't feel you have to post, and other members will soon forget you and move all with all the new and interesting members that keep cropping up.

Just like if your neighbors are bothering you in real life, move away and never come back so you no longer have to deal with them!

Such an easy fix....

Where can you 'not' remove your email? I can change/remove it in my User CP but not sure if that's cause I'm a moderator?
